11. Trigonometry
Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies the relationship between the angles and sides of a right-angled triangle. In this chapter, students learn about the basic trigonometric ratios such as sine (sin), cosine (cos), and tangent (tan), which help in relating the angles of a triangle to the lengths of its sides.
The lesson also introduces trigonometric identities and standard values of these ratios for special angles. These concepts are very useful in solving problems related to heights and distances, where direct measurement is difficult. Trigonometry plays an important role in many real-life fields such as engineering, architecture, navigation, astronomy, and surveying.
